long description:
This is a very personalised course, geared to your particular situation. The course outline will most likely be different for each student.
The duration of the course is also up to you the student.
If you had an important meeting or an interview, for which you just wanted to practice and feel more confident -- feel free to sign up for as little as one session. If you are in pursuit of ongoing learning at your own pace, feel free to sign for repeat sessions at regular intervals --or in accord with your availability schedule.
For instance, I've privately taught a variety of students - some of which were preparing to enter the corporate world, some preparing to enter careers as professors at American universities, and some who just wanted to improve their English.
At our first meeting, we will talk about your current level of English skill, your work, interest and reasons for study. We will discuss any particular areas of the English language which you find difficult.
I will then find materials relevant to your interests and email them to you for you to read beforehand, and make any notes about the parts which you don't understand.
On our next meeting we willl talk about the article. We will also have free conversation which has not been planned, and I'll be making notes whilst we talk, on areas on which you might want to improve.
Once in a while we will have comprehension or vocabulary quizzes, but you'll be warned beforehand, so you can prepare. If there are particulars about the English language which puzzle you -- for instance, "articles" -- we can schedule a session around that theme.
The course is very individual and tailored to your needs.

Teacher's qualifications:
Hello! I'm a teacher of English as a Second Language specialising in Business English, everyday conversation, grammar and writing.
I'm an American, who's lived here in England for the past 13 years (with my husband). I speak Japanese (intermediate level), and have a BA in Theatre and English. I have student taught English in University, worked as a substitute teacher of English, have been a private tutor for 4 years, and am now starting to tutor online via Skype. In America, I also worked in the Marketing department of a Japanese bank. While there I was the Corporate Communications Coordinator, and also translated between the Marketing Director and Japanese staff as required. I have also worked as a Journalist (Professional Desigination from UCLA) ?which gives me a particular eye for writing ? grammar and structure.
I am a professional voice artist (voiceover)as well as a tutor. So I'm very keen on good pronounciation and expressive speech.
I like informal, fun lessons designed to help you achieve your English-language goals. But while having an informal atmosphere, the lessons will have a planned structure.
I've also got a channel on YouTube for English lessons. Please feel free to have a look at: http://www.youtube.com/stefsenglishlessons

's preferred teaching style:
I like informal, fun lessons designed to help you achieve your English-language goals. But while having an informal atmosphere, the lessons will have a planned structure. The course is heavy on conversation, using English as much as possible. There is no grading so the student can feel free to make mistakes, and then move on. The important thing is to just do your best and progress WILL come.
