The teaching style I use relies on disussion that focuses on essential questioning. Through heavy discussion, the class is focused on one important element within the given piece of literature (i.e themes). Methods include teaching, practicing, and then independent practice. Students are taught how to discuss literature within a structured setting and then they will write well structured essays that convey his or her knowledge of the novel and the essential question(s).
