short description:
How to value companies or projects using various valuation methods
long description:
This course is intended to explain one of the most fundamental concepts in the world of finance: how do you value or price an asset such as a company or project.
You will learn about three valuation methodologies:
(i) discounted cash flows (where you project a yearly cash flow of the asset and discount such cash flow at a certain discount rate),
(ii) comparable trading multiples (you take companies that trade on similar fundamentals as a benchmark in analysing the company you are valuing), and
(iii) comparable private transaction multiples (you use merger transactions of companies with similar fundamentals to the company you are valuing)
You will have a chance to learn how to value an asset or project that is part of your life.
