description of :
I have classroom teaching experience as well as one on one teaching in the fields of aviation, arbitration, and mediation. I currently reside in Florida and am involved with flying, scuba, music and family. I am retired and looking forward to teaching online to help others gain knowledge.I enjoy working with indivioduals who desire to further their education.
Teacher's qualifications:
My Flight instructor ratings are formal licensure by the Federal Aviation Administration to teach. I hold a Masters Degree in education from International Seminary and Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from Carolina University. I have experience teaching for International Seminary as an Adjunct Professor and the same with Palm Beach Atlantic College teaching arbitration and mediation.I was a classroom and simulator instructor for Flight Safety International for many years.
's preferred teaching style:
I like to use a building block method of instruction to form a foundation and then build upon that as the student grasps and understands the concepts presented.Praise brings forth a greater willingness to learn while mistakes must be corrected through additional teaching. The student environement is very important to the learning process and must be offered and maintained to promote learning.Discussion between the student and teacher helps harmonize these issues. Finally, I spend a lot of time listening to the student to assure his/her use of the principals learned.
