description of :
Amy Gould is a private voice teacher with more the ten years of experience teaching voice. She has helped students of all ages and experience levels to reach new heights as singers. From professional singers looking to tweak their voices to beginning singers just starting out, each has left the studio with a voice that was easier to use, more range and a richer more beautiful tone.
Teacher's qualifications:
Amy Holds a degree in vocal music from Michigan State University. She has attended numerous workshops and training programs including: the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, vocal workshops with Richard Miller and Joan Dornemann and Acting Opera workshops with Mark Taslit.
's preferred teaching style:
I believe that singing is a personal thing. Each person has a unique instrument that is a part of their own body. You can't go out to your local music store and buy a new one if yours doesn't work. I feel that classes and private lessons should allow the singer freedom to relax and explore their voice, and not feel intimidated by their teacher. I am supportive and strive to help each student discover their own voice.
