Assistance to high school students in the area of college selection and planning, career awareness and portfolio building.
 
long description:
High school students can receive individualized and detailed assistance in the areas of college selection and planning, career awareness and portfolio building. Sessions can be pre-planned topics or concentrated on student's own questions and investigation. Topics can include using the internet for obtaining college information, understanding if colleges take the ACT or SAT or both for admission, comparing colleges, using assessments for career investigation, building a student portfolio and much more.

I can be available throughout the summer as a first come, first serve basis. I can be available throughout the week and weekends from 8:00 am - 6:30 pm during the summer. After Labor Day my hours will be 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm during the week and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on the weekends.

I use humor in sessions. I try to keep the conversation light and nonintimidating. Nonjudgemental and caring are also qualities that students use to describe me. I will continue to re-explain concepts in multiple ways if needed by the student.
