I particularly love to teach students? whose first language is not English. To be an instrument in their achievements is deeply rewarding to me.
I have taught ESOL to students who come from Turkey, Angola, Ghana, Portugal, China, Somalia, Malta, Bangladesh, Pakistan, The Caribbean and Gabon.
I am very patient and empathetic.

Teacher's qualifications:
Teacher Training achieved in City & Guilds Stage 2 - Level 4 - Adult Literacy.
- I have planned and delivered a learning programme to a class of adult learners at CLL, City & Islington London.
- I also planned and delivered a learning programme to a class of adult ESOL learners at EyeCity Academy, Islington London.
-I worked for 3 months as Volunteer ESOL tutor with Somali learners; levels Pre-entry to E1-3, carried out for the British Somali Community.
I spent 2 months teaching a group of multi-ethnic students Basic Skills Literacy ESOL from Beginners to E2 for Wise Owls Employment Agency.
- I taught an Adult Group- Literacy/Basic Skills E3 at City & Islington (15 hours, ongoing).
- Teaching of an Adult group- Literacy/SfL ESOL E1 at ELATT London, (10 hours)
- Again teaching Adult group- Literacy/SfL at E3 in City & Islington (5 hours)
- Adult group Literacy at E2 in City Lit, London (10 hours)
- Teaching Literacy/Citizenship to a group of Adult ESOL at Pre-entry-E2 (Voluntary
Community Placement (10 hours)

-I have in-depth knowledge and experience of supporting learners needs.
- I possess very good computer skills (C&G qualified).
- My proficient working knowledge of the Adult Literacy Core Curriculum, Adult ESOL Core Curriculum, Adult Numeracy Core Curriculum and Access for All have equipped me with an ability to employ many different and varied styles and methods of teaching; I am very adaptable to the needs of my students.

- Using my teaching knowledge coupled with my skills in researching, I endeavour to progress in conceiving innovative and positively engaging programmes of learning to deliver and share with my students.
- In order to be an effective teacher one must possess good organizational skills. Evidence of my organizational skills can be found in the results for my students as well as evidence of my teaching programmes which are available to be viewed in my Teaching Portfolio.
- I have worked independently and on my own initiative preparing and implementing teaching programmes for my own class.
- Flexibility is one of the pre-requisites to being an effective teacher. No two students are the same.
- My interpersonal skills are well-developed due to my training and experiences of learning, working and teaching in many and varied circumstances, and cultures.
- I am a very effective communicator on many levels; my interpersonal/communication skills are excellent both verbally and written.Effective and empathetic communication is crucial to engage people. My teacing experience and training combined with real-life experiences have furnished me with great opportunities to engage with people from many cultures and walks of life and has contributed to the development of the effective communication skills I have acquired.
