I started up the first training department in an airline and taught for 10 years in all aspects of reservations and airport related work. I worked in a school for 2 years teaching English as a second language. I now work at home teaching English as a second language.
Teacher's qualifications:
Profile: More than 30 years secretarial experience, mostly with airlines. Starting as a Secretary, moved on to the reservations department where I started up the training department and became the Training Manager. I then went on to have my own small secretarial business; then I moved to Spain, worked in a Spanish school which teaches English and I am now a TEFL English Teacher.

In this position I:-

? Ran a computer training course for the children.
? Assisted the teacher with her day to day running of the classroom.

? Organised the craft supplies required for the topics.
? Checked the children's diaries daily.
? Took the children to the bathroom.
? Helped the children in the dining room.
? Monitored the children in the playground at recreation times.

In this position I started the company's first ever training department for reservations, fares, ticketing, telephone sales, airport ticket and check in desks. Compiling and typing all the training manuals and courses. I trained all existing staff throughout the company and all new staff members.

I was responsible for teaching the following:-

? Induction course (introduction to the Company and their routes, airline jargon.
? Operation of the computerised reservation system.
? Telephone sales.
? Writing and later printing of travel tickets.
? IATA Fares I and II.
? Automated check in system.

As the Training Manager I was second in charge of the Reservations department and some of the company's airport ticket desks. In total over 200 staff. My duties included assisting the manager as follows:-

? The day to day running of the office.
? Attending middle management meetings.

I was acting Reservations Manager for six months due to maternity leave.

I was the member of staff chosen to study a new computerised reservations system to ascertain if it would be suitable for the company.
