description of :
I am a patient, experienced bass teacher based in Brighton, England. I have taken many students from complete beginner to proficent, flexible bass players. I also work in paid bass playing (mainly musicals) as well as my own groups. My own groups include a signed metal band and a pink floyd inspired prog rock band as well as various funk bands etc.. Due to the variety of genres I partake in I can teach all playing styles and genres up to a high intermediate standard.

's preferred teaching style:
Offline I use a variety of well known songs to advance the players skill. Each song is picked to be relevent to as many areas to bass playing as possible/is needed, from technical elements such as speed to style and improvising. Online this would be impracticle (especially considering the illegal nature of music sharing). Therefore I would propose using easily available softeware so that I can program songs/exercises and send them easily to students. This files would contain a record of what notes to play as well as backing drum/guitar tracks and allow the student to play along to a prerecorded bass line.
