short description:
Our central goal is to understand relationships between variables; these are described mathematically by functions. If we are interested in the effect of one variable on one other variable, we are led to the study of functions of a single variable.

description of :
Currently involved in research activities in cosmology and mathematical modelling.
Teacher's qualifications:
Doctor of Science in Cosmology, i.e. Theoretical High Energy Astrophysics (Tokyo Institute of Technology)
Dipl.-Phys. Univ. (Technical University of Munich)
Equivalent degree: MSc in Physics
Research topics undertaken cover black holes, cosmology, general relativity, gravitational waves and gravitational lensing.
Published work includes: "Gravitationally induced interference of gravitational waves by a massive object", Physical Review D54 (C.Baraldo, A.Hosoya, T.T.Nakamura).
's preferred teaching style:
I teach by way of live online lectures, using the voice and text chat as well as the drawing board feature of the online classroom. Questions by students are always welcome. "There is no such thing as a stupid question!"
