Thoughts are constantly popping into our heads...Some Positive...Some Negative. Unfortunately, it is not easy to restrict our thoughts to only the positive ones. When those negative and/or unhealthy thoughts get into our heads, they have the power to make us feel miserable. EFT calms the upheavel by subduing and stilling those thoughts. This brings on a feeling of peace and you begin to be feel better and act better.

description of :
I am passionate about students and my subject. I am highly motivated to give my students the very best of me. I am energetic and love my work. I will do whatever it takes to help my students learn in ways that are fun, easy and meaningful.
 
Teacher's qualifications:
I have 45 years of teaching experience. I have taught all grades K-12 in both piblic and parochial schools. I have an undergraduate degree in Education from Marygrove College. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Psychology from Michigan State University. I have completed all the required coursework for my PhD in the same disciplines but have not yet written my dissertation. From 1990-2011, I owned and was the main teacher at the PowerThink Academy. I began this Alternative, Private school to serve the needs of children who needed special attention due to academic and/or emotional needs that were not being addressed by their former schools. The lives of all of our students were impacted in so many positive ways. I am very proud of the work I did and the hard work that students did to become the wonderful people thay are today.
 
's preferred teaching style:
My approach to teaching is student-centered. I make sure that all learning styles and modalities are incorporated into the presentation of material. If students are struggling, it is my responsibiity to make the necessarry changes that will result in everyone being able to fully understand and apply the knowledge being conveyed. I demand excellence but also provide the guidance and support to make that goal attainable by all. I give my students the very best I have to give...Always.
