long description:
I currently teach writing a college level where students learn valuable essay writing skills. There is also a major grammar section in the course. I also assign a novel in which we go over tones, styles, and symbolism within the book. I help the students gain a deeper level of understanding within reading. At the college, I also work as a consultant in the school's writing center where I help students organize their essays/papers in various English subjects. There we go over grammar rules, coherency of the paper, and we brainstorm other ideas.

I have a B.A. in English from UCLA and a M.A. in Writing and Publishing from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. I have been teaching college level writing classes for 3 semesters now and have a student retention rate of 90%. I also work in the school's writing center as well as a consultant two days a week where I help other students with their papers.
Teacher's qualifications:
I have a B.A. in English from UCLA and a M.A. in Writing and Publishing from DePaul University. I have over a years worth of experience in the college setting. I work in the school's writing center. I also privately tutor students at their homes. They are typically non-native English speakers and we go over writing, reading, and oral skills for English. I am also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an international English Honor Society.
's preferred teaching style:
My teaching style methods are different for each student because each student learns differently. For tutoring, I like to initially run a few diagnostic tests (reading and writing) to see where the student needs the most work and which area the student needs the least amount of work.
