's preferred teaching style:
I would consider myself as an energetic teacher when teaching face to face. I use the learner as a resource and I work backwards from the learner and integrate styles and methods that best suit their past experiences and attitude to learning. This dynamic is often lost in online learning / conferencing. Through partaking in online courses as a learner I feel it is extremely important to establish a rapport among learners and trainer. As this cannot be acheived through body language, voice tone etc it is therefore important to plan activities that improve dynamics and interaction throughout the session. For example: profiling, establishing objectives to work towards, pair work activities, synchronous / asynchronous chat activities. It is necessary to make it absolutely clear what the objectiv is when planning and delivering activities throughout a session.
