long description:
I was quite shocked just recently to see a T V advert showing a person who wanted to lose weight eating ready meals reheated in the microwave which she had delivered to the home at a very high price. This was a mother and she had made a meal for the rest of the family. It made me think that if people were made aware how easy it is for the whole family to eat a healthy meal together how much more pleasant it would be for them. It just means making a few changes to your diet and learning to cook healthier meals, sometimes merely by changing cooking methods.It is also good to use as much fresh produce as possible and this is usually far cheaper than buying frozen foods or using takeaways on a regular basis. I have a wealth of recipes and tips which I would love to share with interested people out there

I would like to think that I have plenty of knowledge in my field to pass on to others and for them to succeed. I am a very patient person and I am always willing to go over any points that have not been understood the first time around. This is the only way for students to move on after fully understanding each section of the course. Istudied at Liverpool college of crafts and catering in the Uk and I then worked my way up to become head chef at a few establishments in England over the years. I decided that I would like to teach and started giving cookery lessons to local primary school children as part of their healthy eating curriculm. This went down very well so I then gave classes to some of the Mothers and these were equally successful. I now live out in Spain and I have been working at a local cafe bar. I would like to teach here but feel that I must improve on my Spanish before embarking on that. There are many expats out here so I will find out if any of them would be interested in cookery classes.I find it very rewarding to be able to pass on my skills to others and for them to succeed.
 
Teacher's qualifications:
I hold City and Guilds catering certificates 706/1 and 2
 
's preferred teaching style:
I would use the guided discovery style. I use a sereies of logical questions to lead the person to discover the new concept.I set questions and the learner has the task of discovering the answe. Due to the effort required this causes the student to remember the information.
