• who desire vocational preparation for careers in the business field
• Those who see the foundation on which to continue studying business and accounting at the collegiate level.
At the end of the course the student should be able to develop an understanding of the basic accounting theory principles and practices found in the business community today. It should enable students to use accounting terminology principles theory and procedures. Additionally students will be able to apply their knowledge and understanding in a range of business environments

WORK EXPERIENCE
Teacher, current employer (Ministry of Education, Bahamas) August 2001-present (full-time):
• Responsible and accountable for coordinating lessons in the subjects: Accounting, Mathematics, and Economics.
• Manage six (6) – seven (7) Classes per week with twenty eight to thirty (28-30) periods.
• Manage a Homeroom: reports, attendance, discipline, etc.
• Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain effective communication with students at various levels.
• Define and initiate lessons, strategies and performance requirements for students to ensure their success in becoming productive citizens.
• Maintaining a continuous alignment of my lessons with the objectives of the national curriculum, as well as make recommendations about ways to improve the scope of topics to be covered to prepare students for the workforce.
• Coach, mentor and provide leadership for students through membership on various school committees (disciplinary, student council).
• Present periodic reports about students’ performance.
