description of :
The type of instructor/tutor I am is not one who just educates but empowers. I believe that education should do more than inform but transform. I truly agree with the quote “education is not the filling of a bucket but the lighting of a fire” (William Yeats). That’s why I call myself a “trainer” because I love giving people the educational tools necessary to develop the skills to improve their lives. I enjoy seeing people changed for the better by what they learn. I am an excellent listener with strong oral/written communication skills. Words are the “tools of my trade” and I use them like a mechanic or a doctor would use the tools of their trade. Currently, I am doing a series of workshops at local churches with married couples on relationship enhancement and I’m working on an eBook about relationships.

's preferred teaching style:
I am down-to-earth and very personable, so my style of training is the same. For nearly forty years my training sessions have been conducted through seminars, workshops, and conferences. Online I am skilled at using live/real-time interaction (chat, web cam, group discussions), lecture-style, You Tube-type videos, and PowerPoint presentations. I love sharing instruction in the context of everyday life by using the backdrop of personal experiences and current events.
