Session 2. Building Bridges to Others (2 Hours)
Session 3. Managing Interface and Intervention (2 Hours)
Session 4. Behavior Change – Listen and Lead (2 Hours)

• Distinguish between leading and facilitating.
• Boost communication and cooperation across departmental boundaries.

3.2 Session 1. Introduction to Facilitation (2 Hours)

Learn how to balance reality with involvement and output. Define the right ground rules to start with
Getting to Clarity – the major obstacle to results


Session 2. Building Bridges to Others (2 Hours)
Learning Objectives:
Learn your role, attitude and values before impacting others.
Define and practice interventions Identify the levels where individuals function

Session 3. Managing Interface and Intervention (2 Hours)
Learning Objectives
Learn how to lead conversation to consensus
List and define group maintenance behaviors How to gain the trust of the groups you work with
Create a team contract

Session 4. Behavior Change – Listen and Lead (2 Hours)
Learning Objectives
Define the four levels of learning development
Define roadblocks to communications Learn to do active listening
Overcoming confrontation and conflict

Typical homework sample assigned to each student to be accomplished between sessions:
“During any meeting you attend before next meeting record how many and the type of interventions the facilitator made. Bring the notes to class or e-mail to the instructor”
