I want this Asset to be a creative and open environment for students to engage each other (or just me) in conversation, question-and-answer time, relevant and modern applications of their subjects, etc. I want students to be more comfortable with their own writing skills, and have a passion for sharing my knowledge. I pride myself in my sense of humor, knowledge in my field, and ability to adapt to my students' individual needs. I won't give up on you until you are proud of what you have written (or are able to write)! Interested in conversational English? Professional English (for example, how to speak or write for an interview or job application essay)? I'm here for you! I won't embarrass you or make you feel "stupid". I understand your struggles and want to help you out in an affordable, fun way. Thanks! :)

's preferred teaching style:
I teach with a sense of respect for my students' learning styles. I adapt to their needs, and am willing to go the "extra mile" to help them understand. I am a visual learner myself, so I am very adept at making concepts clear by illustration, diagrams, and clear presentations. I use modern examples from music, movies, and television to highlight what I am trying to teach my students. I challenge my students to find examples of some of the things they are struggling with (spelling issues, grammatical items, etc.) in the "offline world". Then, we can make those important connections. For example, if a student is struggling with a literary concept, I or the student might find an example of the same concept in a book or film he or she (or I) have read or seen. We take that example and work it into a lesson. This is just a very small sample of the things I try with my students to make learning fun, relevant, and interactive. This is especially easy when tutoring online, since both the students and I will have Internet access to use to find "on-the-spot" references to present during a lesson.
