Crafts and D.I.Y

tutoring & advice

 with Brianna Gibbs

short description:
Jewelry, Scrapbooking, Soap Making, etc .

long description:
I enjoy a wide variety of crafts. From designing school posters to creating a beautiful necklace. My desire is to show others how to do the same. Any of these tutoring sessions will be based upon crafts that I am familiar with such as jewelry making, soap making, scrapbook design, candle making, and a few basic sewing projects. Jewelry tutorials will cover the basics to some more extravagent designs. Candle making will cover the basics of adding scent, color, creating container candles, pillar candles, etc. Soap making will cover the basics and expand into making lotions, bath wash, bubble bath, etc. Scrapbooking will cover color, layouts, and accessories.

Fun, witty, quirky at times, but mostly easy to get along with and learn from.

Teacher's qualifications:
I run my own small business out of my home called Belle Vie in my town of Gaylesville, AL. Although it focuses mostly on jewelry, I've also created bath products, and candles on request. I teach scrapbooking and cardmaking techniques on the side for willing students. I'm a college student currently taking a break from school, going for a teaching degree.

's preferred teaching style:
I slowly go over every step, usuing analogies if necessary. I watch my students carefully, and offer advice to assist them in making their projects easier. My goal is to help them achieve what they came for, not to say, "You can't do it. You fail." I will adapt in whatever way needed to help the student.
