short description:
Do you have a new iPhone and don't really know how to use it? Or, you can use it to make a phone call but not much else? I'm a registered iPhone Developer with two apps in the App Store, and I can help you.

long description:
We'll go over the ins and outs of the iPhone. We'll cover a lot, including:
How to use iTunes for Synchronization (Updates, Contacts, Calendars, Photos, Videos, Music, Videos)
How to Use the Contacts App on the iPhone
Using Safari on the iPhone
Using the Calendar App, including adding new calendars
Settings on the iPhone
Using the App Store to buy apps on the iPhone and in iTunes on your computer
Organizing apps on the iPhone
Using iTunes to organize your apps
Creating and using folders to organize your apps on the iPhone, using iOS 4
Setting up your email accounts
and much more.

I'll also recommend and demonstrate some good apps for you. As a bonus, I'll give you free copies of my two iPhone apps and help you install them on your iPhone (with your permission, of course). As a registered iPhone Developer, I'm already using the new version of the iPhone software, iOS 4, which has not yet been released to the public. Please check out my iPhone apps at http://sites.google.com/site/niquitosoftware/Home .

description of :
I'm fully qualified as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language with considerable classroom experience as a substitute teacher in grades K-12. My basic philosophy as a teacher is to give respect and to expect respect in return, and I've found that this usually serves me well.

Teacher's qualifications:
I'm certificated by a school called i-to-i UK as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language with additional certificates in Grammar Awareness and Teaching Business English. i-to-i is accredited by the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council, which accredits providers of home study and e-learning in the United Kingdom. I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas with years of experience in the business world and also a substitute teacher in the public schools of three school districts in the San Francisco Bay Area. These districts are the South San Francisco Unified School District, the Burlingame School District, and the Pacifica School District. I've also been a software engineer for more than 20 years and am a registered iPhone Application Developer with two apps available for sale in the U.S. App Store.

's preferred teaching style:
I prefer to teach using visual aides such as drawings and diagrams. I like to work with students to get them to figure things out for themselves rather than simply reciting facts to them. I want students to know why something is so rather than just that it is so.
