My teaching style is geared toward each student. I base my lesson on their abilities, shyness,if their outgoing. I try to keep learning fun and exciting. I am a believer in encouragement and rewards, not punishment and take things away. I have learned to adapt each lesson to help the students learn at their pace and level. I DON'T STRESS my students ,If they are frustrated we will move on or figure out a different avenue to get the answer. I am in the process of getting my BA in special education.I have worked with children from pre k-12th grade. They have all been in special education class. Most of my students have autism or some form of behavioral issue. I have also worked with Blind adults and students. I have worked with hearing impaired.I was also co -coach for bowling with special Olympics. I have also worked with inclusion class(mainstream)students .I am not limited to just special education.I have been a director for a tutoring center,my job was to keep the shifts running smoothly and tutor when the teachers were not available. My shift times were filled to the max. I have also done some voice lessons but mostly working with my daughter on her voice training.I can teach most instrument but mainly the flute and piano. I have some great lesson for young students who want to learn piano. I use most updated media forms for all lessons,my lesson can be used instant messaging, white boards, skypes, you tube, any form of media.I do use websites a lot for practice sheets and games to reinforce our lessons. I am available all day and evenings for tutoring.I will tutor all the subjects I have mentioned in my profile. If you contact me and we decided that we are able to work together I would like to have all examples and work as soon as possible so I can look over everything and know where we need to start.I do understand that some days you may be late for our session,I w

Re: Michele Martin - Letter of reference
December 12, 2009
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter of reference for Michel to highlight her skills as I have observed over a four-year period. Michele is a reliable and consistent worker. She brings intelligence, insight, and a high level of professionalism to everything she does in the school. She was involved with a child who presented behavioral concerns every hour of every day and I have never heard her complain. She always handles the behavioral challenges in a positive manner and has always taken her child’s needs into account as she works through problems at school. Due to my involvement, I have asked Michele to collect a great deal of data to track this child’s progress. Michele has always provided everything I requested and has done so in a professional and thorough manner.
I believe Michele is an asset to any team and would benefit your program.
Please call or e-mail any concerns.
Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madame,
It is my pleasure to recommend Michele Martin for the position available . I worked with Michele for one year and interacted with her for two. Michele was a behavioral specialist for a student with a disability and traveled with him for the entire day.
The quality that first drew my attention to Michele was her genuine care for the student. Michele was an advocate for her student and her expectations were high. Her drive to make the student a part of the school setting was amazing. Michele made sure her student was part of the school geography bee, the track team and talent show. It was a pleasure to see her make sure her student was included in as many activities as possible. Also, I must mention, Michele also accompanied the student to all these activities, it took extra time away from her family but she felt it necessary.
In the classroom Michele would always push her student to do what he was capable of doing. Many times the student would attempt to do as little as possible, but Michele drove him to meet the expectations she had for him. This was not always an easy task and she was able to encourage her student to meet the needs.
I feel Michele would be an excellent candidate for any job working with students. She is a most caring and driven person, one who would do well at your establishment.
Thank you,
Duffy Sample
