description of :
I currently teach 5th & 6th grade art full-time in a public school. In addition to teaching, I like to create art that inspires me! I've recently started experimenting with cut tile mosaics and some beginning fused glass work. My background is advertising design, but I consider myself a general artist.

Teacher's qualifications:
I began teaching in December of 1989, 7th grade self-contained Wiseburn School District in Hawthorne, CA. From August 1991 - 1993, Long Beach Unified School District - 6th grade humanities and 7th grade art. 1993 - 2000, Manhattan Beach Unified School District - 6th grade homeroom, Arts Mentor, Art Specialist 4/5th grade. Dexter Community Schools - 5th/6th grade Art - 2001 - present. Additionally, I have been an active member and presenter for the California Art Education Association and the Michigan Art Education Association.

's preferred teaching style:
I give appropriate feedback and will effective critique art project results. Additionally, I enjoy working in collaboration with groups to create stronger art lessons. I believe in positive feedback!
