Sessions will include word study based on the needs of the individual student. Ten new words are introduced in each session. Words are selected from the most common words in the English language and from reading material, incorporating words the student struggles with while reading. Phonics lessons are included.

I tutor academic subjects and computer skills. I specialize in elementary reading skills and basic computer skills.
 
Teacher's qualifications:
I have an Associate Degree in Human Services from Ivy Tech State College and completed Tutor Training from Three Rivers Literacy Alliance back in the 80's. I have been tutoring adults and children from my home since that time.
 
's preferred teaching style:
Information is introduced, reviewed, assessed repeatedly. In reading for example, there is an assessment completed, then 10 new words are introduced at a time. These words are practiced multiple times, at the beginning, middle and end of the session. Frequently online sessions begin with a review of the previous session.
