Doing It The Disney Way

training & business skills

 with Amy Sessions

short description:
How to lead employees, not manage people
long description:
As a former Leader for The Walt Disney Company, I have spent years leading and developing my cast members. There is a special magic to the way that Disney operates. Most people in the workforce make the mistake of managing people. You don't manage people, you manage things - you LEAD people.
credits obtained:
minimum class size:
To all who have a deep desire to improve their leadership skills.
fee comments:
To be honest, I am unsure as to what would be the best fee to charge. You are welcome to modify that section as you see fit. As a cast member, it was a privilege to attend Disney University and an honor that was extended to each and every cast member to help them better themselves in their role and grow into new ones.

comments: It is best to keep classes short so as to not inundate your audience. I believe that the best duration is 90 minutes. We can get the meat of the information and if there is a demand, perhaps a follow up class where we dive deeper into the meanings and applications.

description of :
As a Disney Leader, I attended Disney University on a regular basis. Each year I attended the Leadership Conference where I networked and shared experiences and techniques, along with learning from the Legends such as Marty Sklar.
Teacher's qualifications:
I have spent nearly 5 years leading, developing and instructing cast members. I also teach by following Mickey's 10 Commandments as outlined by Marty. A few of them include knowing your audience, walk in your Guest's shoes and to communicate with visual literacy.
's preferred teaching style:
I use Walt's story telling technique and activities to help illustrate the material and bring it to a "real life" situation for better comprehension and application.
